Privacy Policy

TechConnect is operated by iACTIVE SOLUTIONS. This policy describes what the app and this website collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to describe what the software actually does — not to reserve rights we don't use.
What we collect
- Your mobile number. This is how you sign in. We send a six-digit one-time code to it over WhatsApp; the code is valid for five minutes and can be used once.
- Your profile. Name, and for integrators a company name, description, service areas and service categories. An email address only if you choose to add one.
- What you post. Requirements you create (title, description, category, budget, timeline, location) and quotations you submit, including line items and totals.
- Files you upload. Images attached to a requirement and quotation documents you attach to a quote.
- Ratings and reviews you write, which are shown to other users alongside the integrator they are about.
- A notification token. If you allow notifications, your device is issued an anonymous token by Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging so we can send alerts to your phone. It identifies the device, not you.
We do not collect your location in the background, your contacts, your photos beyond the ones you deliberately attach, or your payment card details. TechConnect does not take payments.
Why we collect it
- To let you sign in without a password.
- To show your requirement to integrators who work in that category, and to show their quotes back to you.
- To calculate a Trust Score, so search results are ordered by a record rather than by who paid.
- To review new accounts before they are allowed to sign in.
- To send you alerts about quotes, jobs, approvals and offers.
Who can see what
- Other users. When you post a requirement, integrators in that category can see it and its attachments. When you submit a quote, the client who posted the requirement can see it. Integrator profiles, ratings and reviews are visible to clients browsing for someone to hire.
- Our administrators. Staff at iACTIVE SOLUTIONS can see accounts, requirements, quotes and reviews in order to approve accounts, verify integrators and deal with abuse.
- Nobody else. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Services we rely on
- WhatsApp (Meta). Your mobile number is sent to Meta's WhatsApp Business API to deliver your one-time sign-in code.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). Delivers push notifications to your device. The notification title and body pass through Google's servers on the way to your phone.
- Our own server. Everything else is stored on a server we control, in a database that is not shared with any other product.
This site itself loads no third-party scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising trackers, and sets no cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and marketplace data is kept for as long as your account exists, because a requirement, a quote and a review only make sense with the history around them. One-time sign-in codes are deleted as soon as they are used or after five minutes, whichever comes first. A notification token is deleted when you sign out, and dropped automatically once Google reports the device as unreachable.
Your choices
- Notifications. You can refuse them when asked, or turn them off later in your phone's Settings. Everything else in the app keeps working; you'll see alerts only when the app is open.
- Correcting your details. You can edit your profile in the app at any time.
- Deleting your account. Email info@techconnect4u.com from the address on your account, or tell us your registered mobile number, and we will delete your account and the data attached to it.
Security
The website and app talk to our server over HTTPS. Access to the administration portal is password-protected and limited to iACTIVE SOLUTIONS staff. No system is perfect, so if you believe your account has been misused, tell us and we will act on it.
Children
TechConnect is a tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or why, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the app.
